Message:Thanks for explaining the solo v group aspects, that makes a lot of sense now. I had a small question about my first encounter and wondered if I played it right. I started by engaging Ney and upped to command level as required. I rolled Calamity Ensues and Distant Explosions. My NCO Lifer was not affected by the Self-Doubt and my 50-50 roll went my way where I didn't acquire it. My question is whether I interpreted and acted correctly on the first part where it says "If no one has Self-Doubts, avoid the combat".
Since it said avoid, I interpreted this to mean that I was done and somehow evaded a battle with Ney. I figured that I snuck around because he was distracted by some mortar fire from the British or something else causing the explosions. So I continued up the line to my current engagement with Lobau. Did I cheat or is this the right way to interpret it?
Thanks for the feedback!
Yours,
